A PASSION FOR SHARING
THE JOY OF MUSIC
Whether you are looking for piano lessons for yourself or for your child, I would love to speak to you about how I can help you on your musical journey.
Since 2004, I have been privileged to guide hundreds of piano and theory students. It is my greatest joy to see their confidence blossom as they learn and grow as musicians. From the very first lessons, I integrate repertoire, technique, sight reading, theory, and ear training to ensure that my students don’t simply learn to play pieces, but to love and understand music. I set clear expectations for home practice, while keeping the atmosphere light and fun. As they progress, I give my students the option to pursue exams with the Royal Conservatory of Music, and I work with students and parents to ensure they are well-prepared.
I also offer one-on-one Theory Lessons in preparation for the Royal Conservatory of Music Theory Exams.
Lessons are offered in-studio in Montréal's NDG neighbourhood, or on-line via Zoom.
If you’re interested in lessons, please contact me below, and we can set up a meeting to discuss your goals.
ABOUT ME
After graduating from Concordia University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2003, I began teaching piano in Ottawa while continuing my piano and theory studies with Paulette Price and Sandra Cooke. I received my ARCT (Piano Teacher) Diploma with First-Class Honours from the Royal Conservatory of Music. For many years I served on the council of the Ottawa Region Branch of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers Association. I am currently a full member of the Québec Music Teachers' Association. I have also taught drama and musical theatre to children and teens for the past 15 years, co-authoring four original musicals and many children’s plays.
ON-LINE LESSONS
On-line piano lessons are a preferred option for many students for a variety of reasons. Teaching on-line since 2020 has enabled me to expand my studio across North America and Europe. All you need is a laptop or tablet, and you can take piano lessons in the comfort your home. Lessons are offered via the Zoom application, which is very simple to use. If you’re interested in learning on-line, I’m offering a 15-minute meeting and mini-lesson at no charge. Please contact me using the form below to learn more.
